From start to finish, this excursion was flawless. There were 7 in our party (including 2 children). We were picked up on time, driven to the hike destination and given instructions. The hike is listed as moderate. It is quite taxing, however there are horses available if you are unable to carry on. Four of us were able to complete it. Three opted for the horses. We took breaks when needed and hiked at a good pace. When you reach the top to view the volcano, it makes the hike completely worth it. This was a highlight of our Antigua trip. We would highly recommend.

Amazing experience for a ridiculously reasonable price! Hiking Pacaya with horses was a major highlight of our family’s month in Guatemala. The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The horses were well cared for and well attended by skilled assistant guides. Don’t miss out!
